Wittenoom, Western Australias Forgotten Town

During the 1950's and 60;s the small western austrailin town of Wittenoom and its nearby mine was the primary producer of blue Asbestos (Crocidolite).

The town has a tragic past due to the effects of asbestos exposure to the majority of its inhabitants. Hunderds of former residents have died from asbestos related illnesses and is now home to just three people.
